Packaging Developed Around the Curtain and Sales Channel
Drapestra supports custom curtain packaging for importers, wholesalers, distributors, private label brands and hospitality suppliers. Packaging is planned according to the curtain type, panel configuration, fabric thickness, finished size, sales channel and shipping method.
Available options can include individual poly bags, printed inserts, paper or woven labels, hangtags, barcode stickers, customized retail packaging, master cartons and buyer-specific carton markings.
Packaging feasibility must be reviewed together with the curtain specification. A thick blackout curtain, lightweight sheer panel and paired hotel curtain set do not require the same folding method, bag dimensions or carton strength.
Individual Packing and Product Presentation
Standard curtain orders are commonly folded into individual transparent poly bags. Bag size and thickness should match the folded product without excessive compression or unused space.
For retail or distribution programs, the individual pack may also include:
- Printed inserts or packaging sleeves
- Hangtags and product information cards
- Size, color and style identification
- Barcode or SKU labels
- Care and material information
- Buyer-specific warning labels where required
The packaging artwork should be provided in an editable format with the correct dimensions, colors and print requirements. All product information must be checked by the buyer before approval, particularly sizes, fiber composition, care instructions, barcodes and destination-market wording.
Branding elements can be coordinated with the options described on our Custom Logo & Label page.
Retail Packaging and Private Label Programs
Customized retail packaging can help distributors and private label brands maintain consistent presentation across different curtain sizes and colorways. However, packaging should remain practical for folding, carton loading and international transportation.
Printed boxes, sleeves or inserts may have separate supplier MOQs. The required quantity, printing colors, surface finish and number of artwork versions can affect unit cost and preparation time. Using many different packaging sizes for a limited order may also increase cost and complicate packing.

Master Cartons and Export Protection
Master carton specifications are determined after the individual packing format and carton quantity are confirmed. We check the folded product dimensions, number of packs per carton, gross weight and expected shipping conditions before finalizing carton size.
Carton markings can include the buyer’s reference, product name, style number, color, size, quantity, carton number, destination and handling information. These details should match the packing list and approved order requirements.
For shipping preparation, the packing team checks individual packs, quantities, carton markings and sealing before the finished cartons are released. More information is available on our Folding & Packing Process page.
Packaging Samples and Approval
A packaging sample or mock-up is recommended when the order includes printed retail packaging, multiple labels, barcodes or a specific folding presentation. The review should confirm:
- Packaging dimensions and material
- Artwork position and print color
- Curtain folding direction
- Label and barcode location
- Product information accuracy
- Number of panels or pieces per pack
- Carton quantity and markings
Packaging approval should be completed before bulk packing begins. Late artwork or specification changes may require new samples and can affect MOQ, cost and production lead time.
MOQ, Cost and Lead-Time Factors
Custom packaging MOQ depends on the packaging type, material, dimensions, printing method and number of artwork versions. Packaging with custom printing may require a higher quantity than a standard transparent bag.
The final quotation should separate or clearly define the curtain, labels, individual packaging and export carton requirements. Complex packaging can also add time for artwork checking, sample preparation, printing and assembly.
Information Needed for a Packaging Quotation
Please provide the curtain type, finished dimensions, quantity per style and color, panels per pack, preferred packaging format, artwork files, barcode information, required carton markings and destination.
If you have an existing packaging sample, send photographs, dimensions or a physical reference. We can then review compatibility with the curtain, identify information that requires confirmation and prepare the packaging plan before sample approval and bulk production.
