Color and Pattern Options for Different Curtain Programs
Drapestra supports custom color and pattern development for importers, wholesalers, private label brands, hospitality suppliers and project buyers. Available directions can include solid colors, printed patterns, jacquard designs and embroidery, depending on the selected fabric and curtain application.
A color or pattern should be reviewed together with the fabric, finished size and intended market. The same color can appear different on sheer, linen-look, velvet or blackout materials because the yarn, weave, surface texture and lighting affect the final appearance.
Buyers can begin with an existing fabric color, a physical swatch, a clear color reference, original artwork or a finished curtain sample. We review the requested result, suitable processing method, estimated quantity and sampling requirements before confirming development.
Solid Color Matching and Approval
Existing colors are normally the most efficient option for sampling, MOQ and production planning. Buyers can review available fabric swatches and select a suitable shade before preparing a finished sample.
For a custom color, the reference should be as clear as possible. A physical swatch is usually more reliable than a screen image because monitor settings, photography and lighting can change how a shade appears. The approved color sample should be retained as the production reference.
Custom-dyed materials may require a separate fabric MOQ and additional preparation time. Minor shade differences can occur between material batches, so bulk fabric should be checked against the approved reference before cutting.

Printed Pattern Development
Printed curtain development requires usable artwork, pattern dimensions, color information and the intended placement or repeat direction. The printing method depends on the fabric, design detail, quantity and required result.
Before production, a strike-off or printed sample may be prepared to check:
- Artwork scale
- Pattern repeat
- Color balance
- Direction and placement
- Visible printing defects
- Appearance on the selected fabric
Large motifs, directional patterns and matched curtain pairs require additional cutting control. Pattern repeat can increase material consumption and should be considered when calculating the price.
Jacquard and Embroidery Options
Jacquard patterns are created through the fabric structure rather than applied only to the surface. Development therefore depends on the weave, yarn, pattern repeat and material MOQ. An existing jacquard design is normally easier to sample than a completely new exclusive construction.
Embroidery can be reviewed for decorative curtain programs where the fabric and design are suitable. Buyers should provide the embroidery artwork, size, color, location and expected coverage. Larger or denser embroidery areas affect sample time, processing cost and finished fabric behavior.
Not every curtain or material is suitable for every decorative method. Pattern direction, weight and hanging appearance should be checked through a physical sample.
Sample and Pre-Production Confirmation
Standard samples normally require 3–5 working days. Customized color, printed, jacquard or embroidered samples typically require 7–15 working days, depending on material availability and processing complexity.
The sample development stage is used to confirm color, pattern scale, placement, fabric appearance and finished curtain construction. Revised artwork or a second sample may be required if the first result does not match the approved direction.
Bulk Production and Quality Control
During bulk production, incoming fabric is checked against the approved color or pattern reference. Inspection can include shade consistency, pattern direction, print appearance, jacquard structure, embroidery placement and visible surface defects.

Standard curtain programs usually start from 300–500 pieces per style and color. Customized OEM programs commonly start from 500–1,000 pieces, while custom-dyed or exclusive patterned fabrics may have separate material minimums.
Typical bulk production takes 25–35 working days after sample approval. More complex custom programs may require 35–45 working days.
