OEM Production Based on Confirmed Specifications
Drapestra provides OEM curtain manufacturing for importers, wholesalers, distributors, private label brands, hospitality suppliers and commercial project buyers. Based in Keqiao, Shaoxing, we support curtain development, sampling, bulk production, inspection, packing and export shipment coordination.
OEM manufacturing may cover window curtains, blackout and sheer curtains, hotel curtains, hospital curtain programs and other suitable curtain categories. Each order is evaluated according to its application, fabric, dimensions, heading construction, functional requirements, quantity and packaging.
The purpose of the development stage is to establish a production-ready specification. We do not begin customized bulk production based only on a general product photograph or an incomplete description.
Requirements Reviewed Before Quotation
A workable quotation requires more than the curtain type and total quantity. Buyers should provide the intended application, fabric or reference material, finished width and drop, number of panels per set, heading style, colors and expected order volume.
The quotation should also define:
- Blackout, sheer or decorative requirements
- Lining, backing or other fabric construction
- Eyelets, hooks, tapes and additional accessories
- Logo, labels, barcodes and packaging
- Quantity per style, color and size
- Destination and preferred trade term
- Testing or inspection requirements
These details influence fabric consumption, processing steps, MOQ, sample cost and production time.
Sample Development and Approval
Customized samples are normally prepared after the main specifications and material direction are confirmed. Standard samples usually require 3–5 working days, while customized samples generally require 7–15 working days depending on fabric sourcing and processing.
The sample is used to verify material, color, finished dimensions, heading construction, stitching, accessories, labels and packaging. Buyers should provide consolidated feedback with exact revisions rather than general comments such as “make it larger” or “change the color slightly.”
Approved sample details are recorded as the production reference. The confirmation process is explained further on our Sample Development page.
Material Preparation, Cutting and Sewing
Before cutting, the fabric type, color and visible quality are checked against the approved specification. Pattern direction, fabric width and expected shrinkage or dimensional behavior should be considered before cutting quantities are released.
Cut parts then move through sewing and heading construction. Depending on the design, production may include eyelet placement, hook tape, rod pockets, pleats, lining, side hems and bottom hems.
Stitching, seam allowance and accessory positions affect both appearance and finished dimensions. These points are checked during production rather than left only for final inspection. A broader overview is available on our Manufacturing page.
Bulk Production Control
Customized OEM curtain programs commonly start from 500–1,000 pieces per style or color. The actual MOQ depends on fabric availability, dyeing or printing, dimensions, accessories, branding and packaging.
Typical bulk production requires approximately 25–35 working days after sample and order approval. Complex customized programs may require 35–45 working days.
Production is scheduled according to confirmed materials and order specifications. For repeat orders, buyers should identify whether the approved fabric, color, dimensions and packaging must match the previous order. More detail is available under the Bulk Production Process.
Inspection and Packaging Verification
Quality control covers incoming fabric, dimensions, stitching, appearance, color consistency, accessories and packing. Functional or project-specific requirements are checked against the confirmed order specification where applicable.
Before shipment, labels, barcodes, individual packs, carton quantities and carton markings are verified. Third-party inspection or agreed testing can be arranged when required. Buyers can review the main checkpoints on our Finished Curtain Inspection page.
Information Needed to Start an OEM Project
Please send the curtain type, application, reference image or sample, fabric requirement, finished dimensions, heading construction, colors, quantity per variation, branding, packaging and destination.
If some details are not yet defined, identify the target market and the elements that must remain unchanged. We can then assess feasibility, confirm the required development steps and prepare a quotation based on a clearer production scope.
