Final Inspection for Curtain Bulk Orders
Finished curtain inspection verifies whether completed panels match the approved sample and confirmed order specification before folding and packing. It is particularly important for wholesale programs, private label orders, hospitality projects and institutional procurement, where repeated dimensions and consistent appearance affect installation and order acceptance.
Drapestra conducts multi-stage checks during production, followed by finished-product inspection. The inspection standard is based on the agreed fabric, dimensions, heading, workmanship, accessories, branding and packaging requirements rather than a generic product description.
Confirming the Inspection Reference
Before inspection begins, the order specification and approved sample are reviewed. Inspectors need a clear reference for the curtain style, fabric, color, finished dimensions, heading construction, accessories, label position and packing method.
For customized orders, approval records should identify:
- Style and item reference
- Fabric and approved color
- Finished width and drop
- Heading, eyelet or hook construction
- Side and bottom hem details
- Logo and label requirements
- Quantity by size and color
- Packing and carton instructions
Clear approval information reduces subjective decisions during bulk inspection.
Dimension and Construction Checks
Finished width and drop are checked using the measurement method confirmed during sampling. Heading height, eyelet position, hook placement and hem depth may also be measured where they affect installation.

Construction checks verify that the curtain corresponds to the approved heading and seam requirements. Inspectors look for uneven edges, open seams, skipped stitches, loose threads, puckering and inconsistent hemming. Relevant production controls are explained further under edge finishing and hemming.
Appearance, Color and Pattern Inspection
The curtain surface is reviewed under suitable lighting for visible marks, stains, holes, weaving faults, printing defects or handling damage. Fabric appearance is compared with the approved sample, allowing for any agreed practical tolerance.
For colored, printed, jacquard or embroidered curtains, inspection may include:
- Color consistency within the order
- Pattern direction and repeat
- Motif position on the panel
- Matching between paired curtains
- Embroidery or printing appearance
- No obvious shade difference in one set
The inspection method depends on the fabric and product application. A sheer curtain, velvet blackout panel and hospital curtain may require different appearance and functional checkpoints.
Accessory, Label and Branding Checks
Eyelets, hooks, heading tape, curtain rings, tiebacks and other specified accessories are checked for type, color, quantity, position and secure installation. Hanging checks may be used to review fold distribution and panel balance.
Private label orders are also checked for woven labels, care labels, size labels, hangtags, barcodes and packaging identification. Inspectors confirm that the correct branding components are matched to the correct style, color and size.
Inspection Sampling and Issue Handling
Inspection scope is confirmed according to the order, buyer requirements and product risk. Checks may take place during production and again after completion. Third-party inspection or agreed testing can also be arranged when required.
If a repeated issue is identified, affected production is separated for review. Depending on the problem, corrective action may include rechecking, trimming loose threads, replacing accessories, correcting labels, repacking or remaking nonconforming panels. Products should not proceed to final packing until the relevant issue has been addressed.
Packing Release and Shipment Preparation
After inspection approval, curtains move to the folding and packing process. Folding method, individual packaging, barcode position, carton quantity and shipping marks are checked against the confirmed order requirements.
